BMW is launching the BMW 320d EfficientDynamics at the Frankfurt Motor Show
It seems like only five minutes – actually, it was June – that BMW announced the 316d ES as the most frugal car they have ever made. And guess what? This new BMW 320d EfficientDynamics Saloon is labelled as ‘BMW’s most fuel efficient and greenest 3 Series ever’ in the Press Release.
Autoweek reader and frequent spy-shot contributor Spencer Abbott sends these photos of what appears to be a Ford Galaxy MPV -- or minivan, as we typically call the vehicles stateside -- testing in metropolitan Detroit. The Galaxy received a facelift in 2010, and that appears to be what we're seeing in these photos. Your guess is as good as ours as to why the vehicle was out and about near Ford's Dearborn, Mich., headquarters.
BMW has released teaser images of the new BMW X1 compact SUV
BMW’s offering in this department is the new BMW X1 which is, in many ways, a 1-Series on stilts, although it has components in common with both the 1-Series and the 3-Series. It will be available in both 2WD and 4WD with engines ranging from a 1.8 litre 4-pot petrol to a 3.0 litre turbo-diesel with a 6-sped manual ‘box or an auto option. These relatively undisguised photos from BMW are the first official shots that have no real subterfuge in them, and show the lines of the car pretty clearly.
